Day 2

Weight (Wii Fit): 155 lbs.

YAY!

Sorry about not posting about my day yesterday. I wanted to do that last night, but I had a headache that turned into a migraine in the span of an hour...DURING THE HEROES SEASON PREMIERE NO LESS! Now, how the hell am I supposed to enjoy Zachary Quinto with a migraine? I ask you.
Speaking of Heroes and sexiness, so I started watching, and some Irish guy who looks like he's from The Cure is rattling on, and they pan over to the other characters, and then they WAIT WAIT WAIT, GO BACK! Was that..? It was! That's fucking SNAKE EYES man!
Cut to me punching the air. So...Darth Maul has joined Heroes. I am stoked dude! Then again, his character's ability is...well, not that great. He moves fast. "So basically," said Dave, "Ray Park is playing himself."
Pretty much hon. Pretty much.

But on to why we're all really here. How did my day go yesterday? Pretty crummy. It started out okay. When I woke up I had a Women's One-A-Day Multivitamin and a 500mg Sunkist vitamin C tablet. I sucked all that back with a lot of water. In fact I ended up drinking 54 oz of water throughout the day, which for me is a fucking miracle. The rest of my meals are broken up like so:

11:ooam
2 slices turkey bacon - 2g (all of these will be grams of carbohydrate(s))
1/2 cup egg beaters - 0g
Cooking spray - 0g
2 pinches dried chives - 0g
2 sprinklings of pepper - 0g

*note* Eggs were kinda disgusting. Need a pinch of salt. Also use more spray as I lost a lot of valuable egg to sticking.

2:00pm
1 scoop strawberry protein powder - 3g
1 sprinkling Chia Pro - 0g
1 cup or so of water - 0g

*note* Protein powder is low in carbs, but high in protein. Unfortunately it's VERY high in cholesterol. Dave says he's found one that is lower, but I need to use this stuff up first. Also, chia pro is a fiber supplement which a higher fiber content than...fiber. Also, yes, it is the seed of that stuff you grow Chia Pets with.

4:20pm
1 cup baby spinich - 1g
1/2 tbsp maple balsamic dressing - 2g

*note* At this point in the day I was absolutely dying. Dave suggested some nuts or cold cuts for a snack. The nuts would have been fine but were in a higher carb range than I wanted. It was still low, but the goal is ten a day. This would have put me over. And raw cold cuts? No thanks.

5:00pm
1 cup broccoli - 5g
1 chicken breast - 0g
2 tsp butter - 0g
3 sprinklings of pepper - 0g

6:00pm
1 chicken breast

*note* I took a nap after my supper. I wasn't tired, but I was starting to get a headache. When I woke up, it was six, and I was still hungry. So I cheated a bit.

And that's the last time I ate! At 7:00pm, Heroes was on and right after that I went to bed.

Now, for excersie. (Ha) I want to walk twice a day. Don't know if that will happen. Dave downloaded the P90 system for me, (the lightest of the systems...you might have heard of P90X) but I don't want to do anything too physical my first week.

I started wearing a pedometer at 11:20am, and took it off about halfway through Heroes, so...8:00pm. 6744 steps apparently, although this thing isn't that reliable. It not only measure steps, but counts them when you sit down and stand up as well.
I walked to the store today to buy a mophead and other things, but they didn't have my kind. WTF? So I got Clorox wipes and cotton balls. Awesome.

I did laundry and ruined one of Dave's new polos. I've been doing laundry for years. Why do I suck at it?
Finished reading Hush.
So yeah. That was my day.

Fun.
Hopefully today will be better.

Cheers.

Day 1

Okay, so here are yesterday's stats (try not to pass out from shock):

Height: 5'2''
Weight: 156 lbs (According to Wii Fit, so take with a grain of salt....mmm...salt)
Bust: 40 in.
Stomach: 38 in.
Hips: 42 in.

And if that weren't enough humiliation, get a load of these!!:

So, as you can see, I have a preggers pudge there, not to mention the horrible posture, which doesn't help. Unfortunately, only a chiropractor named Bane is gonna solve that one.

So there you go.

Now, ideally, I'd like to walk twice a day. I was doing walking in the morning before, but today didn't work out so well. I really did not sleep well last night, so by the time I got up, the last thing I wanted to do was walk. BUT! I do need to go to the store for a few things, including a mop head, so I'll do my walk then.

I'll post more about walking times and eating habits later in the day.

Until later...put down that doughnut!

Please Allow Me To Introduce Myself, I'm a [Wo]Man of...Eh, Who Am I Kidding?

Hello.
My name is Jessica "Jehy" Thompson, and I am about to experience the total agony of weight-loss.

In my adult years, I've weighed the least during my third year of college at an acceptable 130 lbs. In the past five years, I've yo-yo-ed (is that even correct?!) and have finally settled at my heaviest. During my last doctors appointment in August, I weighed in at around 155 lbs. Right now, I would put myself between 160 and 165 lbs.

But what's a little weight gain? I'm not obese, just pudgy. I like to eat, and hell, I'd rather die full than die starving. Then again, I'd rather die naturally* and not from heart disease or diabetes.
*no one dies NATURALLY anymore. Dying from cancer is natural these days for Christ's sake.

All that is well and good, until a few weeks ago when a complete stranger asked when I was due.
Never having that happen before, I was actually quite amused. But then when a family member asked if I was expecting, well...the first time was funny. The second time is shameful. Especially when they happen within a few days of eachother.

So, something must be done, and so it shall.
Starting tomorrow, September 21, I will go on a strict no-carb diet for four weeks.
So what are we talking about here; what does that mean--no carbs? Well, there's no such thing as ZERO carbs, unless you can live off of cooking oil. It means the least amount of carbs (no more than ten per day if possible).

Now, I KNOW that this is not a healthy diet. I know that this is something you only do for a short while as kind of a radical cleansing jump-start to a well balanced diet. It's not a healthy diet because here are some of the foods I CAN'T have:
Bread, pasta, crackers, MILK, FRUIT, cereal, chocolate, potatoes, any VEGETABLE that isn't green, ketchup, etc.

So yeah...all that stuff up there? Stuff I LOVE!
What CAN I eat? Take a look:
Chicken, steak, tuna, broccoli, edamame, certain cheeses, fish, eggs...

Yup. Oh, and cross of fish and tuna.
So there you go. Yum. Can't wait.

Exactly though! I CAN'T wait! I can't stand looking pregant when I'm not! I'm tired not being able to get in my clothes. I'm sicking of buying larger clothes that are still to large for me.
I don't want to be svelt and muscular, I don't care about feeling pretty or sexy. I just want to be the old me again.
I know it can be done! And I know that just thinking about this diet makes me want to not do it. I know I'd rather get my wisdom teeth AND my appendix out again rather than give up potatoes and chocolate, but I know it will be worth it.

So I ask, encourage and beg you all to come with me on this journey.

Before I close, I would like to thank a few people. First of all, thank you to my fiancee Dave, who not only helps and supports me on this endeavor, but also did the diet himself and is proof that it works. Secondly, thank you to Lester, the douchebag who pioneered this for Dave and I to see, and who looks fucking incredible by the way. He has a neck! And finally to a wonderful lady named Reba. A couple weeks ago she started a diet/weight-loss blog, and I wish her the best of luck with it. She's given me even more courage to do this and to do it in front of everybody. Plus, because she did it first, I now have a starting point for myself, her ideas and goals will be the stepping stones to my own.

Until tomorrow then, when I post measurements and horribly embarassing and disgusting photos of myself,
Good day and good eating...I hope you choke on that sandwich.
